Types of samples we take
We match the sample type to the job.
- Air samples using a spore trap and calibrated pump
- Surface swab samples for visible growth
- Tape lift samples for delicate surfaces
- Outdoor control samples for comparison
Reading the lab report
We sit down with you and explain the numbers in plain English. High indoor counts of certain molds compared to the outdoor baseline usually mean there is a hidden source.
Post-remediation verification
After a job is done, we bring an independent hygienist or run our own clearance sampling so you have written proof the area is safe.

Frequently asked questions
Do I really need testing if I can already see mold?
Usually no. If growth is visible you already have the answer. Testing helps when the source is hidden, when you need proof for insurance, or after remediation to confirm the space is safe.
How is the sample taken?
For air testing we use a calibrated pump and a spore trap cassette for 5 to 10 minutes per room. For surfaces we use a swab or tape lift. Nothing invasive.
How long until I get results?
Two to three business days from the lab. We call you as soon as the report is in and walk through the numbers together.
Can I trust the results if the same company does the removal?
That is why we use an independent lab and can also arrange a separate third-party hygienist for post-remediation clearance if you prefer.
